Youth Formation and Confirmation Preparation Coordinator

DESCRIPTION

St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Eagan, MN seeks a full-time Youth Formation and Confirmation Preparation Coordinator to join the Faith Formation Team in “forming lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ who enthusiastically participate in our Catholic Christian life.” You’ll have the unique opportunity to connect youth, their families, and many volunteers with this driving mission, walking with them as they discover and live their Catholic Christian faith.

While administrative tasks are a given in a large parish, you build meaningful relationships with and between parents, volunteers, and youth. Staff and the broader parish collaborate and work closely as we minister together on behalf of families.

Responsibilities include living as a disciple of Jesus Christ; collaborating with the Faith Formation Team (including Youth Leadership Coordinator) and broader staff for faithful, thoughtful, and comprehensive discipleship; cultivating relationships; calling forth, forming, supporting, and celebrating volunteers, especially catechists; coordinating and facilitating youth formation sessions (gr. 6-12), including occasional large-group sessions; coordinating wholistic Confirmation Preparation (gatherings, rites, interviews, etc.); participating in registration setup and implementation; coordinating annual blessing of graduates; collaborating with summer ministries; leading our international youth mission trip; serving as liaison to our young adult ministry; working with relevant budget; communicating effectively, promptly, and proactively.

Pray about this ministry and contact parish DRE Pat.Howard@SJN.org for a full job description and details on application requirements.
